General rules - Breaking these rules can and will get you banned!

  • This is a torrent site that is based on sharing. We expect you to make the effort to upload back what you download from it. In other words, we expect you to have a share ratio close to or above 1.0
  • Moderators and Admins are here to help you, please listen to what they have to say.
  • Do not upload our torrents to other trackers! (See the FAQ for details.)
  • If you receive a warning(Warned ) concerning your ratio, you should contact a mod/admin through the Staff page, or through an IRC client(mIRC) at irc://irc.rizon.net/libble.com or the Chat link at the top of the page to find out what the warning was for and how to resolve the issue. Many times the problem can be fixed through thouroughly reading this page, the FAQ section, or the Links section. If you think your issue is that you are not connectable, please read "How Can Being Connectable Help My Ratio".
  • Disruptive behaviour in the forums will result in a warning.
You will only get one warning.

Downloading Guidelines - By not following these rules you may have your account disabled!

  • Low ratios may result in your account becoming disabled. So always be mindful of your share ratio which is located at the top of every page.
  • It is considered bad etiquette to stop seeding(quitting a torrent) immediately after you have received 100% of the file. Bittorrent is based on leaving your client/torrent open to allow others to get the file from you. When you download an album, and stop as soon as it is finished, you are limiting the speed and ability for others to get that file, which is clearly not fair. Ideally you would leave your client open until you have shared(uploaded) 100% of the file back to someone else(or even more!!). This is not ALWAYS possible, as it depends on others desire for the music you have downloaded, but the longer you leave your client/torrent open, the better chance there is that someone will come along and start downloading from you. If you just merely download, and don't share with others, your account will most likely be disabled. I suggest reading a small bit of information about bittorrent.

Uploading rules - Torrents violating these rules may be deleted without warning

Music Torrents

  • Uploaded torrents must be no lower than 192Kbps, unless using a variable bitrate mp3 format such as V2 or APS(--alt-preset standard). However, m4a/mp4/aac, is allowed at 128Kbps. Bitrate MUST be included in the torrent title (not filename). If you don't know the bitrate or average bitrate, try a program called Mr. Questionman.
  • Exceptions can be made if you speak to a moderator or admin first.
  • Transcodes are not allowed.
  • Make sure your torrents are well-seeded for at least 48 hours.
  • There are no bitrate restrictions on Audio Books, Comedy Albums, Spoken Word, etc.
  • Duplicate torrents in any category are not allowed. For example, if a torrent exists on the site at 256kbps then no further torrents at 256kbps or lower bitrate are allowed. Significantly higher bitrate rips or different file formats of the same content are allowed.
  • A LAME --alt-preset-extreme (or the newer equivalent, -V0) rip is allowed on the site at any time, even if a higher CBR rip is already on the site. Only 1 APX/V0 rip, though.
  • If a torrent you have uploaded is deleted, look in the Log to find out why.
  • All music torrents must have proper filenames and tagged accordingly.
  • Music releases must be a folder containing the music, not an archive (ie: .rar, .zip). The only exception to this is if it is a single file where a torrent of a single file would be acceptable (though still not archived).
  • Music torrents of a single album must contain files of ALL THE SAME FORMAT (i.e an album cannot contain both .mp3 and .wma files).
  • Multiple releases are ONLY allowed if it is a complete discography of a single artist. You must upload a torrent for EACH album seperately if its not a discography. Discographies need to be ALL THE SAME FORMAT.
  • Compilations of random tracks thrown together by you are not allowed on Libble. We like to see official releases and/or live recordings. Your "Favorite Mix Tape" is not allowed.
  • Music releases must include the year of release, bitrate or rough average bitrate of the track(s). Writing simply VBR is not acceptable. Release must also include the the format (MP3/WMA/FLAC/AAC/APE/WAV etc.) in the torrent name and a tracklisting in the description.
  • Do not upload a torrent unless you intend to seed until there are at least 1.0 distributed copies.
  • The most important rule is - use your common sense

Music Videos

  • Music Videos must be music related.
  • Music Videos are to be uploaded seperately from any music torrent.
  • Do not post video files in archived formats such as zip, rar, tar, etc. Not all users are able to open such files. Your torrent will be deleted if it contains an archived set of files.

Music Applications

  • The application MUST be strictly related to audio/music.
  • The application must not be freely available.
  • If you plan to include Cracks and/or serials, place them within the torrent, not in the description.
  • A proper description of the application is required.
  • Archives (.rar, zip, .iso, etc) are allowed in this category only.
  • Apps can be for any OS but you must include which platform the application is for in the description.

E-Books/Music Publications

  • The e-book MUST be related to music in some way.
  • The e-book must be in a .pdf format, or archived version of this. Archives must NOT be password-protected.
  • The e-book must not be freely available.
  • Uploads must be either digital versions of music magazines, or instrumental books (sheet music, guitar tabs, etc.).
  • If you have any other e-books you believe would be an asset to the site, please contact a member of staff before uploading them.

Avatar Guidelines - Please try to follow these guidelines

  • The allowed formats are .gif, .jpg and .png.
  • Be considerate. Resize your images to a width of 150 px and a size of no more than 150 KB. (Browsers will rescale them anyway: smaller images will be expanded and will not look good; larger images will just waste bandwidth and CPU cycles.) For now this is just a guideline but it will be automatically enforced in the near future.
  • Do not use potentially offensive material involving porn, religious material, animal / human cruelty or ideologically charged images. Mods have wide discretion on what is acceptable. If in doubt PM one.
